Zeenat Aman Opens Up About Big B’s Health During Filming Of ‘Samundar Mein Naha Ke’

Legendary onscreen duo of Zeenat Aman and Amitabh Bachchan worked in many films Don (1978), Pukar (1983), The Great Gambler (1979), Dostana (1980) and Laawaris (1981). It was the time when they both were enjoying being at the peak of their Bollywood careers. The actress made everyone her fan after showing her sizzling chemistry with Big B in RD Burman's hit song Samundar Mein Naha Ke. The song belonged to the film Pukar.

The actress is now made the revelation that why this song is close to her heart. Says a little birdie, the actress recently shot for an episode of a dance reality show. On the show, she opened up about the making of the cult song with Big B. When this song was shot, it was the same time when Amitabh had a near-death experience while shooting for a fight sequence for his blockbuster Coolie. The film released in 1983.

Taking about the deets, the actress stated, "This song is very memorable for me. Amitabh Bachchan and I shot this song in Goa. Amitabh suffered a major accident during the shoot of Coolie and he was hospitalised for many months."

"After his recovery, he made a comeback with this song in Pukar. Everyone was very excited to see his energy as he shot the song under the sun and between the sand of Goa," she further said.

"It will always remain close to my heart," the actress added.

Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman's Pukar completed 34 years of its release back in 2017. Big B had taken to Twitter and shared his experience of shooting for the film with Zeenat. "Pukar my film...I began shooting prior to my accident of Coolie and was shot after I recovered also, and those days remain a blur. Time takes its toll on memory," he had tweeted.

Pukar had released just two weeks before Coolie. In spite of being an average film, it managed to run for 100 days in several theatres. During the shooting of Coolie, the actor got severely injured in a fight sequence and was hospitalized fig** for his life. His fans from all over the world offered prayers for his speedy recovery. He became bedridden for months but due to God's grace, he recovered soon.
