Happy World Music Day! 5 Times Hollywood Films Used Bollywood Songs In Their Movies

Music is an important part of everyone’s life. Out of millions, there are just few who don’t love to hear the music. Almost everyone likes to set the volumes high of their favourite track and cut off from the world for a while. Music is just not a casual thing or a hobby, it’s also a therapy. It can instantly relax and rejuvenate you.

Bollywood and songs go hand in hand. In fact, Bollywood movies are famously known for their songs which are a major highlight of each and every film.

Hollywood too has some supremely beautiful songs which we love to listen.

Well, we have often seen B-town singers borrowing music from Hollywood films. But do you know Hollywood too has borrowed music from Bollywood? No, we are not kidding!

On the special occasion of the World Music Day, let’s take a look at 5 songs which Hollywood borrowed from the Hindi film industry.

  1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind – Waada Na Tod (Dil Tujhko Diya)

Seems the makers were quite in love with this track which starred veteran Bollywood beauty Rati Agnihotri. In this movie, this song can be heard in the background when Kate Winslet takes Jim Carrey to her house.

  1. Deadpool – Mera Jhoota Hai Japaani (Shree 420)

The story behind this is really interesting. Director Tim Miller had heard the song years ago in a pub in London and simply loved it. He found an opportunity to use the song in his film when Deadpool hires a cab driven by an Indian. Well, now this makes a proper sense.
