Some Women From Mumbai Slum Were Invited To Attend Prince Harry-Meghan Markle’s Wedding

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally tied the knot yesterday. The Royal wedding of the charming duo attended by Indians also and we are talking not only about Priyanka Chopra.

As PeeCee is the obvious guest at the wedding due to her strong bond with Meghan. Wherever PeeCee goes make India proud by marking her presence at the different stages and Meghan's wedding is the one.

Along with Priyanka, three Indian women have also been invited to attend the grand wedding and out of three two comes from the slums in Mumbai. The one is Suhani Jalota, 23 who is the founder of Myna Mahila Foundation. It is an NGO which provides sanitary napkins to women in the slum areas of Mumbai at affordable prices.

The other two women were Archana Ambre, 25, and Deborah Das, 31, who are employees of Jalota. These two women had never stepped on an airplane before this. Attending Prince Harry-Meghan Markle's wedding is like a dream for these ladies. They received an invitation on which their name printed in gold. When they received an invitation, one of the employees of Jalota even didn't have a passport.

The NGO from which these women were invited were visited by Markle last year. She was extremely impressed with the work and efficiency of the women. About Markle, Jalota had some kinds words to say:

"Meghan is sincere and well-researched. When she came to see us, she did not just talk about women’s empowerment because it was trendy. She knew her stuff."
