Director Remo reveals whether Saif’s character will get a mention in Race 3

Race 3 is all set to hit theaters on June 15. The movie features Salman Khan in the main role, unlike earlier installments that had Saif Ali Khan as its lead actor.

When media questioned Remo D'Souza, the director of Race 3 if there will be at least a small mention to Saif Ali Khan's character in the third sequel of the super hit movie, Race, here's what Remo had stated.

Race, when hit theaters during the year 2008, bagged positive assessments from the reviewers and turned out to be an instantaneous triumph at the box office.

The second part of the movie reached theaters 5 years later and in spite of bagging mixed reactions the flick become a huge hit at the box office as it made over Rs 100 crore.

The lead role in both the films was played by Saif Ali Khan and it as projected that he will also lead the third installment too. However, when Race 3 got announced in place of Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan came on board with a totally new star cast, excepting Anil Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez.

And not only that, the producers decided to select a completely new plot as well as actors.

But, die-hard buffs of Saif Ali Khan are still expecting to witness a surprise character in part by "Race ka sabse purana khiladi".

But here's a bad news for them. He is not making an appearance in the film and in actual fact, there is no reference to his role in the third sequel.

Race 3 also features Daisy Shah, Freddy Daruwalla, Saqib Saleem and Bobby Deol in main characters.

The action suspenseful story has been supported by Ramesh Taurani and Salman Khan Productions. Sallu is also the distributor of the flick.

Saif has beforehand stated that he was given a character in the flick, however, didn’t take it up as he didn’t feel the bond with the character he was offered.

“Ramesh Taurani said I’m making a completely different movie this time with a totally different story. I was offered a part but Salman Khan is the best thing to happen to anybody. He’s the biggest star in the country,”

Saif had stated during a press meet.

“I didn’t feel a connection myself with the part I was offered. So, I decided to do something else,” he added.
