The internet was recently trending with a picture in which a woman from Washington was spotted posing with an octopus by putting it on her face and later got bitten by it.
The woman in the picture was none other than Jamie Bisceglia, who was a 45 year old from Washington and was indeed participating in a fishing derby. There she found an octopus and the women decided to snap some photos by putting the octopus on her face. Much to her surprise the octopus bite her and she was really on the back foot. The incident took place near Tacomo Narrows Bridge and it was from a group of fisherman that she learned about the octopus with them.
The 45 year old then decided to take a picture for submitting it for a derby photography competition and started clicking picture with the octopus placed on her face.
She later regretting the act and said it was a great mistake. She posted the picture on social media with the caption, "Can you say CRAZY! Yes, that is an octopus on my face!! I didn’t know they had a beak that they can inject into you. Well it happened to me. Ouch! My chin is swollen up and would not stop bleeding and now it’s just oozing. But, I’m going to cook it for dinner! LMFAO. Great day on the water!"
Later she revealed that it was all of a sudden that the octopus put its beak on her chin and started attacking her. The pictures were captured while it was attacking her. But even after the incident, she did not dare to go to the hospital immediately. She went to the hospital only two days after she was bitten by the octopus. Her chin bled for half an hour and she was also feeling a lot of pain over that area.
