In today's time, honesty is a rare thing and greed is a very common thing in humans. For greed, humans have made everything a business for money. Humans have no mercy on even animals. They are hunted for selling and earning money. People cage animals and birds just for their profit and pleasure not realising what those innocent lives go through. Today, even when a person finds a Rs.50 note on road, it goes in his/her pocket. The greed in humans is increasing.
However, not all people are greedy. There are people who still have faith in God and believe in hard work and honesty. They refuse to bow to a society full of greedy people. One such person is a waiter named Ravi.
Ravi is a waiter from Chennai's most famous restaurant, Saravana Bhavan. The waiter is receiving tons of rewards for his honesty and simple gesture to refuse to take the wrong kind of money.
At that very moment, Ravi took the bag and handed it over the manager of the restaurant. The cash bag was then handed over to the inspector and it contained 23 bundles of notes of Rs. 2,000 denomination, reports a leading daily. The police rewarded Ravi with a watch and the hotel management is planning to present him a ring.
They are still trying to trace the customer who left the bag behind. Ravi's gesture has surely restored our faith in humanity and honesty. Let us all take a moment and appreciate his great gesture towards the country and setting an example for the youth of our country India.
We hope that people take a lesson from the waiter. What are your views about his honest gesture of letting go of such huge amount of money and still believing in honesty? Tell us in the comments section.
