In a shocking incident, a man who stayed in a luxury hotel in Hyderabad for more than 100 days fled away without paying the bills. The amount of the bill will shock everyone as it is Rs 12.34 lakh, as per the police sources. The man fled from the Hotel Taj Banjara in Hyderabad and he claimed to be a businessman from Vishakapatnam.
The management of the well-known hotel, lodged a complaint at the police station and they have registered a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust against the person named, A Shankar Narayan. The businessman from Vishakapatnam stayed at Taj Banjara Hotel for over 100 days before fleeing away without paying the bills.
As per official records from the hotel, the man had a stay of 102 days in a luxury suite at the hotel. His bill amount was Rs 25.96 lakh and the businessman from Vishakapatnam had paid Rs 13.62 lakh out of his total amount. But, he left the hotel in April 2019 without informing the hotel management and staff.
Later, the hotel management contacted the person via phone and he promised to clear the bill amount that was pending. But after this call, he switched off his phone and the hotel manager decided to file a case at the Banjara Hills Police station.
Sub inspector P Ravi said that they have registered a case based on the complaint they got from the hotel management and stated that the investigations are underway.
As per other sources, the businessman had claimed that he had settled all the pending bills after checking out of the hotel.
He alleged that his reputation is being tarnished and he is also moving for legal action against the hotel in Hyderabad.
Anyhow, investigations are underway and the police will be able to find the real culprit at the earliest.
