The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is underway and eight teams are locking horns with each other to lift the shiny trophy. Yesterday’s game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals was one such thriller match of the season. The two teams were up against each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Virat Kohli-led RCB managed to clinch a 10-wicket victory.
The RCB skipper alongside opener Devdutt Padikkal managed to build up a beautiful partnership guiding their team’s way to victory with 21 balls to spare. While the latter scored an unbeaten century, Virat supported him with the bat and scored a not-out knock of 72 runs.
By doing so, Virat Kohli became the first player in the history of IPL to score more than 6,000 runs in a tournament. After reaching his first 50-run mark of the season, the 32-year-old dedicated it to his newborn daughter Vamika. He even blew kisses to his wife Anushka Sharma who was cheering him from the stands.
The video of Virat Kohli’s oh-so-special gesture for his daughter Vamika, has taken social media by storm. The clip features him raising his bat to the RCB dressing room acknowledging the applause from his teammates. Then he points his bat towards the stands and blows kisses to Anushka and does a cradling gesture to dedicate this fiery knock to his little angel.
Millions of Virat Kohli fans are going gaga over the video and it has left them gushing. Indeed, the RCB captain is a doting father and a loving husband.
On January 11, 2021, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli embraced parenthood for the first time with the arrival of their daughter. The new father took to his social media handles to share the piece of good news with his fans and followers.
In the announcement note, VK also asked paparazzi to respect their privacy and refrain from clicking pictures of their daughter. The little one has been travelling for a while, as her father is busy with his cricket schedule.
