Indian men's cricket team skipper Virat Kohli was present at the Mumbai leg of Pro Kabaddi League 2019 started on Saturday with the home team U Mumba taking on Puneri Paltan in the 'Maharashtra Derby'.
Kohli made his presence felt for the opening day of the Mumbai leg ahead of the primary match of the day and talked about kabaddi and expressed gratitude toward the group of audiences present at the NSCI arena for the love and endless blessings.
The dapper cricketer sang the national anthem with all his heart just before the beginning of the match between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan as every one of the other players and authorities remained on the mat.
Kohli was seen sitting at the sidelines of the match between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan and appeared to appreciate the different raids and tackles he saw. Over and over as the camera panned on superb cricketer, he was seen applauding the kind of the splendid moves, the kabaddi players were showing.
Before the match, PKL said in its interview that Kohli will be "cheering with the fans for the Maharashtra derby followed by Jaipur Pink Panthers versus Bengal Warriors."
The Mumbai leg of PKL 7 is set to finish up on August 2.
The second match of the day will be between Jaipur Pink Panthers and Bengal Warriors and the two teams will search for a second win in the same number of matches.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli will lead team India in the upcoming West Indies visit that will start on August 3. India will play three T20s, three ODIs and two test matches against the West Indies.
