In India, cricket is celebrated like a festival. People take special leave from their work to watch intense matches between various countries especially when India is playing. Even the Indian Premier League (IPL) enjoys a huge viewership of millions every year.

Virat Kholi has become the trending sports personality in the country with his charming looks and excellent play with bat and also as a captain of Indian cricket team.

In India's warm-up game against Essex. India fielded once in the three-day match and they came on to the pitch with men playing the Dhol flanking the entrance. Kholi and Dhawan were seen doing the bhangra as they entered the ground. Have a look at the video.

Talking about the game, Dhawan was dismissed for a duck in the match but Kohli, Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya managed to get half centuries. While fielding, Umesh Yadav picked up four wickets and Ishant Sharma scalped three.

The fans were quite not happy due to less interaction with the players and also there was also criticism levelled at the Indian team for insisting on reducing the duration of the game from the four days that was agreed upon earlier.

India's five-match Test series against England starts on August 1 in Edgbaston. This is the first time since 2014 that they have embarked on a full tour of the country. India had lost the Test series 3-1 on that occasion. England has since toured India for a five-Test series in 2016/17 and lost the series 4-0.

Recently, Virat Kohli became the leading Indian on the Instagram rich list. The Indian cricket team captain rakes in around $120,000 per post on the photo-sharing app. Virat also recently became the fastest skipper to score 3000 ODI runs.
