Sometimes, you just have to make your own fun. In a new viral video, one man shows us that tending a farm can be anything but boring. When the internet first reached our homes, as a beacon of all things developed and hopeful, who would have imagined that years later we'd be anxiously Google-ing every WhatsApp forward that came from our parents. Or that we would become sceptical of primetime television information.
If Netflix's The Social Dilemma couldn't assure you of just how influential things on the internet can be, let's take a look at a few instances back home. Every other day, we come across various videos on the internet which substantiates that Indians are the best when it comes to pulling off a jugaad.
When there is no apparent solution for a problem, the time-tested concept of ‘jugaad’ always works. One such desi jugaad video is going viral on the internet which shows a farmer reaping wheat in the field and that too at a super speed. In the video, two farmers carry another person and take him around the field, who collects wheat faster than a Combine Harvester.
Unnecessary to say, the video has social media in splits and people can’t stop cackling at such a technique. In another jugaad video that recently went viral, an elderly man was seen using a desi DIY technique to shave his beard in the absence of a trimmer or razor. The video showed an uncle successfully designing a DIY trimmer using basic household items.
Well, Jugaad is so something that is close to our hearts that this word is actually officially part of the Oxford dictionary now. The Hindi word–Jugaad- refers to “the use of skill and imagination to find an easy solution to a problem or to fix or make something using cheap basic items”. Especially Indians are the ones who originated it in several ways that turn to be both effective and funny.
