Varun Dhawan And Anushka Sharma Go On A Made In India Car Ride In Jaipur

Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan have paired for the first time for a film titled 'Sui Dhaga: Made in India'. The comedy drama film is based on the Make in India campaign launched by the Indian government in 2014. The story is about  a couple- Mauji and Mamta who decide to do something on their own. The film is about their journey from being doing something impossible to being unstoppable.

Varun plays a tailor and Anushka plays a embroiderer. The actors are currently busy promoting their film. The two recently went to Jaipur for the same.

Huge crowd had gathered to welcome the actors.

They also performed dance on their recently released song 'Tera chaav laga jaisa koi ghaav laaga.'

What caught our eyes was their Made in India car. They went on a ride across the city in a colorful car which was embroidered by local artisans. YRF Instagram page had shared the video and wrote, "Sui Dhaaga se bani yeh CARigari, @varundvn aur @anushkasharma ki Made in India sawaari on the streets of Jaipur. #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia"

Have a look:

Ranbir Kapoor was the first choice for the lead, however, Varun was later finalised. Producer Maneesh Sharma found Anushka to be the perfect one for the role. He had said, “We wanted someone who could effortlessly transform herself into a character who is intelligent, strong and expressive even in her silence. Anushka brings in the authenticity and resilient spirit as a performer and a star. Today, moviegoers want to discover and love characters that they connect with. They want to identify themselves with the story and see how convincingly and truthfully actors translate it.”

Sharat Katariya, who had earlier made the romantic comedy Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) has directed this film.

The film will be released on 28 September 2018.
