Even after witnessing rapid advancement across different states in India, there are still some villages in the country that doesn’t have a fine road. People from a small village in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir finally got their first ever road since Independence. The people from Marta Panchayat have been waiting for a fine road in their village since Independence.
People struggled a lot for about 72 years in their village without the proper condition of the roads. In order to go to school, the students in their village had to walk for more than 6 to 7 Kilometres through the agricultural fields. The Government has started constructing the road under the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana [PMGSY].
A 73-year old man from this village expressed his joy of happiness after witnessing the road construction. He said, ‘As a child, I’ve been told that a road would be constructed in the village but it took years. Now when I am getting my old-age pension, we finally got the road.’
It all happened in the Government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Udhampur of Jammu and Kashmir has got the first road after independence. The villagers of Martha Panchayat in Udhampur were waiting for the road from freedom.
Finally, 71 years after independence, his dream came true. Due to the lack of road, the villagers had to face many problems. After the completion of the road work, the local residents expressed their happiness.
Without the road, the villagers had to face many problems. Students had to walk six to seven kilometers in the fields. Ultimately, after seven decades of Independence, Udhampur has got a road. This road was completed from the Prime Minister's Gram Sadak Yojana.
As of now, the Modi Government is waiting for the results of Lok Sabha Elections 2019. We might witness much more developments in the country if people give another chance to Modi so that he could transform different states across India. As per the news, the Election Commission will release the Election results on 23rd May 2019.
