Twitteratis React On England Cricketer’s Comment: Steve Smith is better than kohli

For quite some time now, debate on who is better whether it is Steve Smith or Virat Kohli is on. Both Virat and Steve have been undoubtedly magnificent for their respective teams. But, their fans are constantly debating to prove their respective cricketer better.

Kohli started establishing himself as one of the best cricketers who who is constantly carried the Indian batting line-up specially in Test cricket overseas after Smith faced ban for a year. Virat got hundreds in South Africa, England and Australia in tough conditions. The cricketer's numbers in ODI cricket were outstanding at one point and he averages is around 60 at the moment. However, fans raise questions on his ability to show great game in big knockout games.

On the other hand, Smith made his return to international cricket after a one-year ban during the World Cup. He made runs throughout the tournament. But, his return in Test cricket was awaited. The cricketer's average was in excess of 60 in the longest format and he maintained the same post comeback of a year after.

However, former England cricket Rob Key's comment on this debate ignited the debate yet again. As Rob Key posted: "That’s official then. Steve Smith is better than kohli"

In response to this, twitteratis started posting their reactions. A user posted: Interesting though how so many people, if asked, would prob give Kohli the nod. Is this just down to aesthetics? I can't think of any other person who dominates their game like Smith who looks quite so badly doing it. I'd pick him over Kohli every day though and twice on Sunday.

Another user wrote: Says someone who was never a key batsman in his playing days. On a serious note though I agree with you mate Smith's better

A netizen posted: He certainly is great in Test. But Kohli had also played mind boggling innings in England only last summer, may be Smith would just edge past him by a whisker.

As per a user: At least in test cricket Smith is much better in terms of average, and conversation rate currently.
