Dilip Joshi was born into a Gujarati family from Porbandar. He secured a degree in Bachelor of Commerce from N.M. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. He received Indian National Theatre best actor award twice for his wonderful art of acting.
Joshi tied the knot with Jayamala Joshi and they had two lovely children. Joshi currently lives in Mumbai with his family. Joshi has done many Gujarati television soaps and is pretty famous over there too.
