A medical student from Jammu and Kashmir in the Philippines sought help from Indian external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and Sushma helped him but not before making him correct his mistake on his Twitter profile.
A student named Sheikh Ateeq tweeted and tagged Sushma Swaraj in it for help. Here's what he tweeted:
"I'm from J&K doing medicine course here in the Philippines my passport got damaged I applied for a new one 1 month ago I request u plz help me get it as I literally need to go home for a medical checkup."
Ateeq has now deleted his Twitter profile.
But Sushma Swaraj noticed something and she instantly tweeted, "If you are from J&K state, we will definitely help you. But your profile says you are from 'Indian occupied Kashmir'. There is no place like that".
Our minister's tweet is quite applaud-worthy. Right?
After this tweet, Ateeq corrected his mistake and Sushma Swaraj asked Indian Embassy in Manila to help him. She tweeted:
Well, the boy deleted his account but we are glad that he learned a great lesson "Don't mess with Sushma Swaraj".
