Surat-based diamond merchant Savji Dholakia showed yet another magnanimous gesture as he presented a Mercedes-Benz GLS worth Rs 1 crore to three senior employees of his company, Hare Krishna Exporters. The three employees who have been gifted with crore worth gift named Nilesh Jada (40), Mukesh Chandpara (38) and Mahesh Chandpara (43). They have completed 25 years at the company after joining as diamond cutters in their teens. At this time, they are serving in the company in a senior-level position and head critical departments which oversee cleaving and manufacturing of diamond.
Dholakia while speaking to a daily said, “These three had joined us when they were just around 13 or 15 years old. They started with learning to cut diamonds and polish it and now they are not only experts but most senior and one of the most trusted people of our company."
The cars' keys have been handed over to these three employees by Governor of Madhya Pradesh Anandiben Patel. The car is Mercedes-Benz GLS 350d SUVs.
This is not the first time when Savji gifted such an expensive gift to his employees. The billionaire merchant had gifted a thousand cars and 400 flats as Diwali bonus to his employees two years ago. He had selected 1,716 employees as best performers of the year and to them, he presented houses. And who already owned a car and four-wheelers were given these houses.
In the year 2015 too, he had presented 491 cars and 200 flats to its staff. In the year 2014, the company had spent Rs. 50 crore as performance incentives to his employees. Savji Dholakia's company makes an annual turnover of Rs. 6,000 crore and employs over 5,500 people.
Nilesh Jada on receiving a huge gift from the company says, "This gift is a certificate that I am doing my work honestly. When you do your work with honesty and energy, you can get a great result and this is an example."
While, Mahesh Chandpara says, "What could be a better motivation to an employee than receiving such a luxurious gift? In our company seniors and superiors believe that our people should reach the top level of success."
He is also the diamond merchant who has sent his son to Kochi to find odd jobs for him as he wants his son to learn the importance of struggle.
