Superstar Salman Khan was paid Rs. 75 for his first job

You will be shocked to know that the highest earning superstar of Bollywood Salman Khan was paid Rs. 75 for his first job. In his struggling days, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor worked as a backup dancer when he was 14 years old. Salman Khan always wanted to become an actor but his father Salim Khan had some different plans for him. Salman Khan was already a successful model before he entered Bollywood. His father never believed that his son can ever pursue acting.

Salman Khan took his first job as a backup dancer. He was paid about Rs. 75 for his dance performance. The stage show was organised in a Mumbai five star hotel in 1978. In the year 1980 Salman signed an advertising commercial for a soft drink. It was shot by Kailash Surendranath who was a famous ad filmmaker. Salman referred Kailash and his then-girlfriend model Aarti Gupta as "the people responsible for me being in the industry."

In an interview with teen vlogger  Hanee Chavan, Salman told-Model Aarti Gupta noticed him when he jumped into the pool of Hotel Sea Rock, Bandra and swam back and forth below the surface to impress her as she was passing by. Aarti got impressed with Salman's skill and suggested Kailash cast him.

The Ad filmmaker was already in search of an actor who can swim well for his next advertisement. Kailash on watching Salman told Aarti that "You've sent a child". Aarti then asked Kailash to make Salman remove his shirt and see the magic he does. He has a swimmer's body.

Salman was successful in grabbing the opportunity and this is how the journey of Bajrangi Bhaijaan started in front of the camera. Salman was paid an amount of Rs. 750 for this ad shoot of soft drink Campa Cola.
