Superstar With Golden Heart: Shah Rukh Khan Silently Donated Undisclosed Amount To Help People In Kerala

Kerala is known as God's Own Country and is widely famous for its cleanliness, greenery, food and beaches. The beautiful place welcomes millions of travellers throughout the year. However, right now Kerala is facing many problems.

Kerala is witnessing heavy rainfall from the last few days which has led to floods in many parts of the state. The rescue operations are going on in the state. Help is being provided by the state and central government to locate the people from the flood-affected areas to a safer place.

The Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan shared that around 2,23,000 people are taken to 1,568 relief camps so far.

Several Bollywood celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma, Sidharth Malhotra, Farhan Akhtar and others requested people to contribute to the relief fund to help the people in Kerala. They urged their fans to lend their support by posting messages on their social media pages.

Today, Resul Pookutty took to his Twitter page to thank Shah Rukh Khan for his quick help. "I have personally reached out to most of them @SrBachchan @iamsrk and @arrahman were quick to react and we are consolidating our fare share of help to #Keralafloods and my fraternity says #istandwithkerela Iā€™m humbled! Thank you so much !" he had written.

He tweeted, "Thank you so much @iamsrk me personally and the people of Kerala are indebted to you for your generosity and quick action...respect"

The recent updates on Kerala floods by ANI are:

1300 life jackets, 571 lifebuoys, 1000 raincoats, 1300 gumboots, 1200 ready-to-eat meal, 1500 food packets, 25 motorised boats, 9 non-motorised boats provided by the Defence Ministry for rescue and relief operations in.
