Bollywood actor and Gurdaspur MP Sunny Deol is making headlines and all for the right reasons as he has reportedly rescued a 45-year-old woman from Kuwait. This issue is from Bhikhiwind near Jalandhar where a woman named VeenaBedi was sold to a Pakistani agent in the name of the job.
The agent sold the woman in the name of getting a job. According to reports, the woman was told that she would get a housekeeping job in Kuwait. Her salary will be thirty thousand. But for Veena everything was not as it was said. In Kuwait, Veena was kept locked in the same place.
When Veena's family got worried about her daughter, they informed Sunny Deol. He immediately responded for the action and took the help of the District judicial Service Authority and two NGOs from Kuwait and Canada to bring the woman back home. With Sunny Deol's hard work, Veena returned home on Friday (July 26th).
Veena, who reached home Friday night was brought to the civil clinic of Gurdaspur under the leadership of District judicial Services Authority Secretary Rana Kawardeep. After the treatment, she was sent home.
Besides this, Vipin Mahajan who is a President of BJP also said that Sunny Deol has been working in the right direction for the welfare of Gurdaspur district from where he is MP. The actor is also working towards the civic amenities and infrastructure of the district and honestly serving his duties.
Sunny's father, veteran actor Dharmendra, took to Twitter to commend his son, "Naukri samajh kar farz nibhana, Sunny bete (Treat your job as your responsibility, son). God bless you," Dharmendra wrote on his official Twitter handle, @aapkadharam.
Sunny is presently the sitting MP from Punjab's Gurdaspur, "The way my father (film star Dharmendra) was attached with Atal Ji, today I have come to join Modi Ji. Whatever I can do for this family (BJP), I will do it...I won't talk, I will show you through my work," the actor had said.
