Comedian and actor Sunil Grover is on a very good phase of his career at this time. He is seen in Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Bharat which released yesterday. The film features Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles and Nora Fatehi in a small role.
The actor recently talked about his equation with Kapil Sharma and when will he reunite with him for the show. On asking when he will return to the show, he said, ''God knows''. When he was questioned if he's open to work with Kapil again, he again replied, ''God knows''. He further said that, "I would want to come on television because I love television. But if there's anything that I feel I should be doing and I should be thrilled to do and feel that there's a chance for me to bring some kind of entertainment to the audiences then I will take it up."
The film Bharat in which Sunil is playing the role of Salman's friend traces India's post-independence history from the perspective of a common man. "We all are typecast, especially when we get success by doing one thing. Whether you are an action hero, romantic hero or playing a comedy character, we all are typecast. In my career, since people have appreciated my performance on television for years, even casting directors trust that I am capable of delivering a comedy scene effortlessly," talking about the film he said.
"But I have also portrayed different characters in films. When I get an offer, instead of thinking of the genre, I look for the opportunity to perform. Because at the end of the day, I am a performer. Even when I do comedy, since I have no training in stand-up, I always approach a character like a character and not like a performer," added the actor.
Sunil also said that he is getting offers from both mediums. "If I have several film offers, that won't allow me to get time for TV. I am happy with the roles that I have got."
