A stranger asked for passport from new foreign minister’s son, he gave a befitting reply

Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has appointed S Jaishankar in his cabinet as Minister for External Affairs. There is an unusual problem which his son is dealing with. Dhruva Jaishankar has purportedly been getting queries about passports and visa on his Twitter DMs and his replies are ridiculous.

He wrote, 'I can absolutely not help anyone with their passport, visa, or getting-you-out-of-a-foreign-prison problems. I have plenty of those problems myself (other than the prisons - I try to stay clear of those).'

Dhruva is perhaps faced with the consequence of Sushma Swaraj's void on social media.Sushma Swaraj was one of the well known ministers when it came to replying or responding to people regarding passport and visa issues.

In December 2016, the 66 year old leader, who underwent a kidney transplant had decided to not contest in Lok Sabha elections due to health issues and as she is not in the newly formed cabinet , people have been pouring their heart out and bidding farewell to their favourite Minister for External Affairs.

The Son of strategic affairs commentator K Subrahmanyam, S Jaishankar, now foreign minister of India, is a PhD-holder from JNU. He had initially served as the press secretary to former President Shankar Dayal Sharma.

Jasishankar has been a career diplomat and was selected by Prime Minister Modi in January 2015 to serve as the Foreign Secretary. He caught Modi’s attention during the Prime Minister’s first visit to the US during President Barack Obama’s term in 2014.
