SRK-Kajol Starrer DDLJ Is The Only Saving Grace Of Maratha Mandir: Executive Director Manoj Desai

The iconic movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge starring Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan and renowned beauty Kajol is still remembered by everyone. It has been more than 25 years that the flick reached the theatres. The movie directed under the banner of Aditya Chopra has turned out to be one of the most memorable movies of Indian cinema.

The 1995 movie is still adored by the movie buffs and has been running successfully in Mumbai’s popular theatre, Maratha Mandir for the last 25 years. But, owing to the pandemic condition, the theatre temporarily stopped the film’s screening because of the closure of movie houses but the theatre went on to recommence the screening of the movie from November 2020.

Now the Maratha Mandir’s executive director shared how it is only the crazy movie that is being the saving grace of the cinema hall. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has witnessed its buffs assembling to the theatres another time to remember the love tale of Raj and Simran.

Mr. Manoj Desai, the executive director of G7 Multiplex and Maratha Mandir, has shared in a media talk that the movie gets occupancy of 200 to 300 individuals on a daily basis even on the morning shows. Mr. Manoj Desai added that no other shows of other pictures are fetching them viewers so the occupancy of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is the only saving grace of the theatre.

But, he also disclosed that the business of Maratha Mandir has bettered to some extent after the release of Master featuring Vijay Thalapathy and Vijay Sethupathi. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge also completed a successful journey of 25 years in October 2020.
