The sudden demise of actress Sridevi still saddens her fans and family members. But her work no doubt deserves to be praised. The veteran actress was recently awarded at the national film festival as best actress for her movie 'MOM'. Her family members were seen getting emotional while receiving the award. Now the late actress is going to be honored at the great Cannes Film Festival.
She will be receiving a special salute at the Titan Reginald F. Lewis Film Honours. For her being appreciated and honored on an international platform Boney Kapoor said-
"I am happy that people from the world are recognizing her body of work and contribution to Indian cinema. Even though the overwhelming emptiness of losing her remains, it’s comforting to know that she lives on through her work.”
For receiving this honor Janhvi and Khushi along with their father Boney Kapoor will attend Cannes Film Festival. Sridevi also referred to as the first female superstar in Indian cinema was the highest paid actress in 1980's and 1990's. For her contribution to the Indian cinema, the government of India awarded her with 'Padma Shri' in 2013.
Boney Kapoor is also planning for making a film or documentary on Sridevi. He has not yet made it clear whether the project will be a biopic or a documentary. Boney wants the movie to roll by next year and could be scripted by a renowned Indian writer. The scripting of the movie is in process. This project will highlight on Sridevi's film journey, her marriage with Boney and life with kids Janhvi and Khushi including her comeback in the cinema. Sridevi has done about 300 movies in her career and started acting at the age of 4. Besides Bollywood, she has also worked in some major south blockbuster movies.
