Sridevi Was Eager On Getting Her Daughter Khushi Into Films Reveals Janhvi Kapoor

Karan is credited to give Bollywood, stars like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, whom he launched with his film Student Of The Year. Now, Karan is introducing late legendary actress Sridevi’s daughter.

Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in the film Dhadak. In the movie, Janhvi will be debuting alongside Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter. Recently, Janhvi rose to fame after giving sensual shots for Vogue Magazine's cover photo. The newcomer Janhvi's debut film Dhadak will release on July 20.

Being a doting mother, Sridevi was working hard for making her daughter's career. But, due to I'll fate, she lived no longer to see her daughter's first film. However, Janhvi believes that her mother’s blessings are always upon her.

During an interaction with a magazine, Janhvi revealed how Sridevi never wanted her to enter the film industry and she was more relaxed about her younger daughter Khushi getting into films. Her mother thought that she was naïve, and wasn’t thick-skinned enough to face the challenging world of showbiz.

She recounted her mother's reaction and said, “Phool ko kichad mein chhod kar chali ja rahi hu main!” (“I’m leaving my little flower in the muck”).

Earlier she revealed, "She never wanted me to be an actress. She was more relaxed about Khushi getting into films. She thought I was naïve, that I wasn't thick-skinned enough. She wanted us to live a more relaxed life. She loved what she did but you know it was intense."

When the 21-Yo Janhvi asked if she feels a void that she does not have her mother to turn to, she replied, "Of course. I could always be the baby with her. When I'd wake up, the first thing I'd do was ask for her. I'd need her to put me to sleep sometimes and she literally had to feed me." She added, "The day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn't sleep, so I was like, 'I need you to come and put me to sleep.' But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head."
