Sami had gone to Kuwait for a concert and he faced humiliation there. His staff was called “Indian dogs” by the immigration officers and “mistreated” for no reason.
There have many instances of the ill-treatment of Indian people which comprise of celebrities as well in foreign countries. Most of the time it has to do with the religion and nationality. This time singer Adnan Sami got into this loop. On Sunday, he took to his social media and complained of being mistreated at Kuwaiti airport by the immigration staff.
He took to his Twitter account and said the following:
@indembkwt We came 2 ur city wt luv & our Indian brethren embraced us with it. U gave no support. Kuwaiti airport immigration mistreated my staff 4 no reason & called thm ‘Indian Dogs’! Wn u wr contacted u did nothing!! How dare d Kuwaitis behave like this with arrogance?!

After this was posted by Adnan Sami, soon Indian government took notice of this matter and MoS that is Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju responded to Sami’s tweet and said:
“Sorry to learn that @AdnanSamiLive. Our most dynamic EAM @SushmaSwaraj ji has acknowledged your matter. Pls speak to her now."
The singer later tagged Union Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
Sushma Swaraj acknowledged Mr Sami's message, and asked him to "Please speak to me on phone."
Later, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju wrote to Mr Sami, assuring him that the "most dynamic" Sushma Swaraj was looking into the matter.
After Sushma Swaraj spoke to him, Adnan again took to his Twitter and thanked minister Sushma Swaraj and posted this:
Thank you so much for your concern my dear. @SushmaSwaraj is a lady full of heart & she is in touch with me & is looking after our people.. I’m so proud that she is our foreign minister & looks after us all over the world.

Adnan Sami was earlier a Pakistani citizen and later became an Indian citizenship in 2015. He submitted a request for Indian citizenship when his Pakistani passport expired and it wasn’t renewed by the Pak government.
Soon MHA of India approved his request and he was granted an Indian citizenship.
