Shilpa Shetty demands 25 crore as she moves HC against defamatory content published in media

Amidst the ongoing case on businessman Raj Kundra husband of B'wood leading actor Shilpa Shetty has now moved a case to the Bombay High Court asking for mandate for giving a defamatory content on social media and websites.

The reports have surfaced alleging her involvement and reactions to the on-going investigation of her husband Raj Kundra and his involvement in a case relating to production and distribution of illegal adult content.

Shilpa has demanded an apology from certain media houses, and has also demanded a deletion of all defamatory content which is against her  and has also asked for compensation of Rs 25 crores.

She has stated in her application,  that she is being painted as a criminal and a woman who has abandoned her husband due to the on-going criminal investigation ongoing against her husband. Her application has also mentioned that the media has allegedly cited in the document to the court have published incorrect, false defamatory statements and have not only defamed the Shilpa, but have made a false accusation on her image.

Shilpa further stated in her application on how the defamatory articles and videos published in her name which have lowered her reputation in the eyes of the public including her fans, followers, brand endorsement companies, business associates and peers who have now started believing those false articles and defamation of her character.

Besides this Raj was under judicial custody for 14 days as he wasn't cooperating with the investigation done by the crime branch, and also on the latest update, Sherlyn Chopra's anticipatory bail has been rejected in pornography case related to Raj Kundra. Kundra is charged under IPC section 67A of  Information and technology act.
