In one of the interviews with a leading daily, celebrity fitness expert, Vinod Channa, the man who helped Shilpa get back in shape after pregnancy, revealed how they did it:
"I gradually added different techniques like functional, animal flow workout, conditioning workout, which she never did in the past. She followed a strict diet with limited carbohydrates – balancing the protein along with vegetables and fruits. I helped her lose 21 kgs in 3 and ½ month naturally. She worked towards a better shape than what people had seen her on-screen. So, anything is possible with the right guidance, dedication and sacrifices."

Shilpa Shetty starts her day with aloe vera or amla juice. She eats brown rice, brown sugar, brown pasta, and other types of brown carbs to supply her body with carbs. She also enjoys cooking and eating different veggies, salmon, turkey, etc. Post-workout, she prefers eating a few dates, a few black raisins and protein shake. She enjoys that one cheat day in her weekly diet regime. On this day, she satiates her desires of the entire week. She practices strength training twice a week, cardio once a week and yoga twice a week.
