India is a cricket loving country and all the eyes in the country were curiously watching the thrilling test match between India and England. England has managed to win despite Virat Kohli's efforts.
The poor performance of the batsman, especially the openers has made fans disappointed. The questions on Dhawan's place in the test team despite continuous poor performance has started to rise again. The player has now promised to make a strong comeback in the next test series.
Dhawan, took to Twitter to post a picture along with his family and wished everyone on Friendship day. Dhawan's post read, 'I know you're all very sad & disappointed with our narrow loss yesterday. I've looked into my own performance, the mistakes I made and I‘ll come back stronger and wiser in the next game. Thank u for all the love & support.
The left-handed batsman continues his poor run and form since the practice match against Essex, where he bagged a pair of ducks in the two innings he played.
Dhawan's fielding in the slip cordon was also quite poor as he dropped Sam Curran and Adil Rashid in the second innings of the match. The 20-year-old Curran went to score his maiden Test half-century
Virat Kohli had also taken to social media to share a post on friendship day with his wife Anushka Sharma.
Virat Kohli surpassed Australia's Steve Smith to become the No.1 batsman in ICC Test Rankings. He has become only the seventh Indian and first since Sachin Tendulkar in June 2011, to take the pole position.
