GOT Season 8: Watch how Twitterati reacted to the last episode of Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones, HBO's biggest fantasy show has reached his epic conclusion. The eight season-long series released its last episode yesterday, bringing an end to the popular show. Episode six was the last episode from season 8 of GOT and as always Twitter had some funny reactions to the ending of the series.

While the reactions to the episode have been divisive, there is no doubt that the events of the finale has had a profound impact on the Game of Thrones fandom, who have been invested in the show for nearly a decade.

Over its 73-episode-long run, viewers have placed their bids on the top contenders for the Iron Throne. When it was revealed that Ned Stark's bastard Jon Snow is actually Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen's son, Aegon Targaryen, fans speculated that it would be Jon who finally ascends the Iron Throne.

However, the final episode had its own fair share of twists and turns and Bran was named the king of the six kingdoms.  Twitterati are churning out hilarious memes questioning whether he knew all along if he would sit on the throne.

Arguably one of the strongest characters in the show Jon Snow was banished to the Night's watch, albeit that saved his life. With Daenerys dead, Jon gone to the north, fans weren't exactly pleased with the makers' decision to make Bran Stark the king.

Meanwhile, before electing Bran as the king, Samwell Tarly suggested that the people should also get a vote to decide the king. That moment too sparked some hilarious memes.

In the end, four of Ned Stark's children survived, Bran being crowned the King of six kingdoms. Sansa was crowned the queen of Winterfell. Arya decided to go for exploration, west of Westeros, and Jon being sent North of the Wall. All's well when the end's well.
