Salman Khan: Movies like Race 3 should be released on festivals, don’t want to make anyone cry on Eid

Salman Khan is in news for his upcoming movie Race 3. The actor always releases his movie on Eid. All the three Khans of Bollywood have reserved dates for releasing their movies. They target major festivals of India so that more of their fans can come and watch their films. Last year Salman's 'Tubelight' was released on Eid which was entertaining yet it had some emotional moments which made the audience shed tears.

But this time he is coming with a movie of a different genre. He doesn't want to make anyone cry on festivals. As Diwali and Christmas are reserved for Amir Khan and Shahrukh Khan, Salman entertains everyone on Eid. Talking about the 500 crore movie club see what the actor has got to say "Which film made Rs 500 crore? Aamir Khan’s film and my film put together hasn’t made Rs 500 crore. Only Baahubali has collected Rs 500 crore. It’s just the way people talk. Fans and friends end up talking about figures but all this is usually imaginary and people talk about all this badha chadha ke."

Talking about the release of Race 3 Salman said, "There is Eid, Diwali, Christmas, and all the films that release around these times are what we call festive films. These are films which people would come and enjoy and whistle and hoot to. This is the kind of genre one would release during the festive time".

Race 3 is going to release on 15th of June after which Salman has to work in 'Kick 2' and 'Bharat'.

The 52-year-old actor has earlier said in an interview that its love of filmmakers and his professionalism that they still want to make films with him. Race 3 is a multi-starrer film with actors Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. Salman Khan is also co-producing this film under his banner 'Salman Khan Films' along with Ramesh Taurani's production company 'Tips Films'.
