Superstar Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh, Prabhu Deva and Akshay Kumar got trapped in a sued in the US. Yes, an Indian American firm called Vibrant Media Group sued against the star and complains the stars refused to work at a concert even after taking money. Even Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Usha Mangeshkar's names are there in the list.
The Chicago-based Vibrant Media Group filed a case against the Bollywood biggies and their respective agents Matrix India Entertainment Consultants Private Limited and Yashraj Films Private Limited. All this happens due to the "breach of contract".
As per the complaints, "Vibrant Media Group had paid these artists to perform live at a concert 'Celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema', which was supposed to be held on September 1, 2013."
Well, it is not the intentional behaviour from the stars but Salman Khan denied permission to go anywhere from India due to legal troubles in Rajasthan over the Blackbuck poaching case and that's the reason why he had to cancel the concert.
But as per the lawsuit, the film was even ready to be postponed or rescheduled the concert according to the availability of the star.
Recently, a Chicago based firm came to know that Bhaijaan and other celebs had agreed to perform with another promoter. And, the problem started here, they did not keep their promise to the VMG and also did not even return the payment made to them in advance for the show.
Well, it is the total loss of around USD 1 million and a spokesperson has even revealed while talking to the leading daily, "All calls to Mr Khan, his agents and other artists, for the return of the funds have gone unanswered."
According to the complaint,"The group had paid more than USD 200,000 to Salman Khan, USD 40,000 to Katrina Kaif and USD 36,000 to Sonakshi Sinha, of which none of the funds have been returned."
