Rohit Sharma breaks his silence, amidst rumours on differences with Virat Kohli

After Skipper Virat Kohli denied the gossipy tidbits of differences among him and Rohit Sharma, the India vice-captain took to Twitter to state, "I don't just walk out for my Team. I walk out for my country".


In the midst of gossipy tidbits between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the Indian men's cricket head for a month-long tour through the United States and the Caribbean on Monday.


Hours after the team left for the US, India vice-captain Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to post an image saying, "I don't just walk out for my Team. I walk out for my country."

Reports of differences between  Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been doing the rounds as far back as India's World Cup 2019 tournament got over.


Be that as it may, in a media interview before the West Indies visit, Virat Kohli denied the break reports by calling all such news as 'ridiculous' and disrespectful'.

In a media interaction on Monday, Virat Kohli stated: " In my opinion, it is baffling, to be honest. It's completely ridiculous to read such stuff that turns out. I have been to a couple of events and the reaction is "aap log kya khele (you folks played so well).  

India head coach Ravi Shastri too said the dressing room air in the India team is very healthy solid and the gossipy tidbits of differences were merely a 'nonsense'.

"The manner in which this team plays, no individual is greater than the game. Not me, not him (Virat), no one in the team. Furthermore, the manner in which they play, it is in the interest of the team. You can't have the sort of consistency over every one of the series, in you have differences or divisions amongst your players. I have been a part of the dressing room and none of that nonsense is there," said Ravi Shastri.


The series among India and West Indies begins from August 3 and incorporates 3 T20Is, trailed by an equivalent number of ODIs, with the 2 Test series beginning from August 22.


This will be India's first tournament since the semi-final match from the World Cup 2019 after losing to New Zealand. The 2-coordinate Test series against West Indies will likewise be a part of the debut version of World Test Championship and will have 120 WTC focuses on offer for both the groups.
