Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor headed to New York with wife his wife Neetu Kapoor for his treatment last year. Since he is under treatment, many of the Bollywood stars have visited him including Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan and others. In a recent photo shared by Neetu Kapoor, he looks healthy hinting and it hints towards his return.
Rishi himself reported about his treatment: “Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus” of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes,I will be back soon” he had tweeted last year.
As per a little birdie, Rishi Kapoor will be returning to India in the month of September with his wife Neetu Kapoor. He is recovering fast, so might make his return to the homeland very soon. His son Ranbir had also confirmed that his father is getting better.
Randhir Kapoor after visiting him said in an interview that, “He is undergoing treatment, he is much better. He is almost cancer free. He will take some time to come back as he has to finish his course. He will be here in the next couple of months. Very soon.”
Ranbir talking about his father's health had said, “He’s doing very well, and he will be back very soon. He is missing the movies and working in films. I really hope that with all your wishes and prayers he comes back very soon.”
Rishi later revealed: “My treatment is on, hopefully I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtues. "Thankfully, I am not thinking about films anymore, just want to be blank and refresh myself with a more relaxed mind. This break shall be therapeutic for me,” he added.
Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, AnupamKher, Priyanka Chopra, SonaliBendre, Javed Akhtar visited the actor over the past few months in US. And recently Rishi’s brother Randhir Kapoor and his daughter Karisma Kapoor visited him.
