Veteran actor of Hindi film industry Rishi Kapoor has been away from his country for over 10 months and has been in New York for treatment. The actor posted an emotional tweet as he is remembering his home over the weekend.
He took to Twitter to post: "Confession. Living in this concrete jungle (Manhattan) for so long, you don't get to see much of the sky. Yesterday was by the riverside, saw and heard an aircraft soar above. A visual and sound so common back home, loved that annoyance. I guess it meant freedom and getting back home."
Kapoor who left for US in July last year has been undergoing treatment. He is in remission and is expected to return home soon. On July 30, he posted: "Today, 30th July, is ten months here in NY." Since he has been in NY, his son Ranbir Kapoor and Ranbir's girlfriend Alia Bhatt are a frequent visitor to him.
Earlier a source revealed, "Rishi is homesick and very eager to return home. They have a wedding to plan. And he's counting the days. But he's not ready yet to return. "His (Rishi Kapoor) treatment is slow but steady. Hopefully, he can come home in a few months. But end of this month? No way!" added the source.
In the visitors of Rishi Kapoor Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora and even Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane are included. Most recently, Riteish Deshmukh and his wife Genelia D'Souza visited him.
Talking about his treatment, he had said, "My treatment is on, hopefully I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue."
"Thankfully, I am not thinking about films anymore, just want to be blank and refresh myself with a more relaxed mind. This break shall be therapeutic for me," he added.
