A UP Resident Living In Kerala Charged By Cops For Over-speeding A Bicycle On The Road

Well, if you think you don't need a license for riding a bicycle on the road then you are apparently wrong. Today we witnessed an incident where we came to know that according to the Kerala Police, you need a license for bicycle riding. Not only this but you can't even over speed your bicycle on the road and if you did, you will be charged.

A resident of UP who is currently living in Kerala's Kasaragod district learned this all-new rule in a hard way as the Kerala Police stopped him and fined him with Rs 2,000 for over-speeding as the officer claimed this on Kasim. But Kasim who is a daily wage worker and earn only Rs 400 per day said, the cops gave him a challan or Rs 500 and allegedly flattened his cycle's tyres. But officially, Cops gave Kasim, a receipt in which they wrote a vehicle's registration number, that turned out to be of scooter owned by a woman.

This incident took place on Wednesday and when Kasim described all the incident in a video made by him and posted it on the social media. After this video hit the social media and being criticized by the social media users, this incident came into the light of other police officials and the District Police Chief ordered an investigation into it. According to the local media reports, by the investigation, it has been proved and has found the SI guilty and he will face departmental action.
