Record-Breaking Crowd Of Around 1.4 Lakh People Gather For Namaz At Birmingham In Europe On Eid

Eid is one of the most celebrated festivals across the globe by the Muslims. They celebrated this festival yesterday with much fanfare. But here’s what was witnessed that took everyone by surprise.

Eid witnessed a record-breaking crowd of approximate 1.4 lakhs people gathering in Birmingham, Europe to offer Eid namaz.

This is being marked as Europe’s largest Eid celebration ever. This holy gathering was organized by Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre (GLMCC).

The celebrations took place at Birmingham’s Small Heath Park where apart from offering prayers, People also enjoyed the festivities with their friends and relatives apart from the prayers that took place at Birmingham’s Small Heath Park.

This world’s largest namaz gathering took the internet by storm and it was trending on the social media all day. People were thrilled and happy to see this beautiful view.

The spokesperson of Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre (GLMCC) said that they had been working with five local Mosques and their charity partner Human Appeal for months to make this day a memorable one for one and all.

Eid ul-Fitr is the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims across the globe fast for the whole month from dawn to dusk. They end their fast on the last day by offering prayers and spread all love by hugging and greeting each other on this happy occasion.

This year in 2018, Ramadan fell in the month of June 14 and 15, however, the dates vary every year as per the Muslim calendar based on the phases on the moon.
