Ranu Mondal has become an overnight sensation after a video recording of her crooning Lata Mangeshkar’s super hit number at the Ranaghat railway station turned viral all over the web.
The lady got praises from all sides for her sweet voice and some people even compared her voice with Lata.
After the video turned viral, news started coming in that Ranu’s daughter Elizabeth Sathi Roy had abandoned her but her daughter refused all these statements.
While interacting with media people, Ranu’s daughter stated that looked after her mom. Though she did not visit her every so often, she was in touch with Ranu. 59
At the present, a video recording of Ranu Mondal crooning with Elizabeth Sathi Roy has reached the web. In the special video recording, the mom-daughter duo is enjoying crooning the super hit Mohammed Rafi song Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyaar Ke Charche from the 1968 flick 'Brahmachari'.
The said video recording got shared on an Instagram page that is devoted towards 59 year old Ranu Mondal. The video got viewed more than 10,000 times.
In addition, the video has also got a number of positive remarks from the viewers who praised both Ranu and her daughter.
In her statement, Elizabeth Sathi Roy stated, "I didn't know that ma used to sing at the railway station because I could not visit ma regularly.”
“I am a single mother looking after my younger son. So, I have my own struggles. Still, I try to look after ma as much as I can. I tried to get her to stay with us several times, but my mother does not want to stay with us. Despite this, people are blaming me," she also said.
Ranu Mondal shot to fame after singing Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai. Ace playback singer Himesh Reshammiya gave her a chance to sing two songs in his upcoming flick 'Happy Hardy And Heer'.
