He told "To cast two actors who have their own sensibilities is very hard because both have to like the material, it can’t just be another project. But I really want to work with him also because I am a big fan of his work. I thought he was spectacular in Padmaavat and every other thing that he has done."

Previously, the superstars who are known as each other's biggest rivals of their times got chance to appear on the screen in a film. Shahrukh-Salman known as the 'Karan-Arjun' of B-town worked together in many movies. Salman-Aamir too worked in Andaz Apna Apna. When talking about the two legends working together in a film who can forget 'Jay-Veeru' from 'Sholay' played by Amitabh and Dharmendra. Both of them were enjoying their stardom and the movie also helped them reach new heights in their career.

Ranbir also praised Padmavat actor 'Ranveer Singh' saying "Every advertisement he does, he stands out, his energy stands out...his talent speaks so much. So, I want to do a film with him but it has to be the right film. It could be like a Karan Arjun or Andaz Apna Apna or a Deewar, it could be any genre but it has to be something that both of us connect to and like."
