PV Sindhu In Forbes List Of Top 10 Highest Paid Female Athletes, With Rs 60 Crore Earnings

PV Sindhu has made India proud several times. She has now become the 'highest-paid female athlete' of our country for the year 2018. Yes, she has total earning of $85 lakh  (Rs 60 crore approx). Recently, a list by Forbes released in which she is in the seventh position while Serena Williams tops the list.

According to Forbes, “The Indian badminton player burst on the scene with a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was the first Indian female athlete to win a silver. The 23-year-old has a robust sponsor roster with Bridgestone, Gatorade, Nokia, Panasonic, Reckitt Benckiser and a half-dozen other brands.”

According to the report, "the 23-year-old earns her money through badminton championships earning and endorsements. The prize money amounts to $500,000 (Rs 3.5 crore approx) while her earning form endorsements stand at $8 million (Rs 55.8 crore approx)."

PV Sindhu is an Indian Badminton Player. She is the first Indian woman to win an Olympic Silver Medal. Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu are the only two badminton players to ever win an Olympic medal. She won Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for badminton in 2013. She also won Arjuna Award for badminton in 2013 and Padma Shri Award, the fourth highest civilian honor in 2016.
