Pune: Lakhs Of Devotees Give Way To Ambulance During Ganesh Immersion

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in India and all across the globe.  It is celebrated by millions of people with much glore.  The festival is celebrated for 10 long days and on the last day Ganesh idol is immersed in holy waters.  Lakhs of devotees take part in the immersion procession every year.  In Maharashtra, especially in Pune the festival is celebrated with much fervor.

This year an incident that took place in Pune caught the attention of many people across the country.  The devotees in Pune while taking the Ganesh idol for immersion has given way for the ambulance and proved that humanity still exists.  The devotees while chanting the slogans of lord ganesh gave way to the ambulance and made everyone turn their heads.

The act has caught the attention of the netizens' and many took to social media to shower their praises on the devotees.  The leading daily also shared the video of the same and wrote, “#WATCH Maharashtra: Devotees give way to ambulance during Ganesh idol immersion procession on Lakshmi Road in Pune.  Twitter is in all praises for the quick action of the devotees.

This isn’t the first time that such an instance took place.  There were many such instances that took place all over the world when large gathering of people gave way to ambulances.  It was back in July, around 1200 volunteers and lakhs of devotees at the Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra, got together to create a human corridor for safe passage for an ambulance that was trying to get through.

The video was then shared on Twitter handle of Puri SP and it instantly went viral on the internet.  People were amazed AND surprised to see the ambulance passing through the massive crowd very quickly.

The video was shared with a tweet that read, “1200 volunteers, 10 organizations and hours of practice made this human corridor for free ambulance movement possible during Puri Rath Yatra 2019.”
