PT Usha shares throwback photo with young PV Sindhu, Twitter is all happy

PV Sindhu’s exceptional winning of gold medal at the BWF World Championships is being celebrated by one and all.  The entire country is in merry after knowing that PV Sindhu once again made the country proud.  Citing the same, another athlete and winner of many gold medals, ‘Payyoli Express’ PT Usha expressed her happiness by sharing a throwback picture of herself with PV Sindhu.   PT Usha has been in the game for more than three decades making India proud moment after moment.

She has 4 Asian Games gold medals and 7 silver medals in her name.  She was India’s best bet to win an Olympic track medal after Milkha Singh.  However, she too missed out on a bronze medal as she finished 4th in the 400 metre hurdles event.

Expressing her happiness towards PV Sindhu’s exceptional achievement at the BWF Championship, Usha took to Twitter and shared a throwback photo with the champion shuttler when she was a kid.  Along with the photo she wrote, “The passion and dedication for the sport will always be rewarded when hardwork comes into play. @Pvsindhu1success will inspire generations to come! Hefty congratulations on winning the Gold at #BWFWorldChampionships2019.”

Usha says she saved lovely memory of meeting Sindhu

Usha in an interview said that, “At that time, all I saw was this innocent, bubbly kid who was happy to play on my lap. The family took many photos of it. When I left, I wished her the best.”

She added, “After the 2016 Olympics, her dad sent me this photo asking, ‘Do you remember who this is?’ and of course, I remembered. From that day, I kept the cute photo saved as a lovely memory of meeting Sindhu.”

All the fans of the athletes are pretty happy on seeing the tweet of PT Usha and of course the picture depicting both the athletes in one frame.   Fans responded hailing both the top medalists for their achievements.

Here are some comments on the tweet by PT Usha.   One user wrote, “Just like you inspired girls of our generation.”  Another tweet read, “Moment when one great athlete really appreciating another great athlete.”
