A Proud Father Salutes His Daughter As She Is His Senior Officer In Telangana State Police

Parents always want their children to be more successful than them. They want to live their dreams through their kids. And that's the reason they give up on several things so that their kids can lead a better life. They dream through our eyes and live their dreams through us. They take pride if we become more successful than them.

One such example we have witnessed in Telangana State Police where a father salutes his daughter because she is senior to him. A R Umamaheswara Sarma is the DCP in Malkajgiri area under Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in Hyderabad. He is serving the force for over 30 years. 4 years ago, his daughter Sindhu Sarma joined the police force as well. She is the Superintendent of Police of Jagtiyal district of Telangana and a senior to her father in terms of designation.

During the public meeting of Telangana Rashtriya Samiti, the father-daughter duo came face to face while on duty. Umamaheshwara said, “This is the first time we have come together while doing our duties. I am fortunate to work with her."

He further told IANS, “She is my senior officer. When I see her I salute her. We do our respective duties and don’t discuss this, but at home we are like any father-daughter."

It is great to know about a man who has supported his daughter's dream and has also become a part of it. Well, we wonder, isn't every father the same in some way or the other. In this case, a father saluted her daughter literally, but isn't that what all parents do when they see their kids succeed? We generally see them saluting in form of tears of joy that flow from their eyes.
