Quantico Producer Apologizes For Controversial Content, Priyanka Still Stays Mum

American television studio ABC, the Disney-owned network recently issued an apology for showing the controversial scene that showed Indians as terrorists.

Priyanka Chopra playing the role of a CIA operative. And in the episode, a plot has been involved in which a disappointed Indian MIT professor pretended to be a Pakistani national who plots a nuclear attack in NY.

Here read ABC's apology:

"The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn't create the show, nor does she write or direct it: ABC Network's apology for Hindu terror plot in Quantico," read the tweet to the leading agency.

ABC said in a statement to the leading daily apologized for the controversial Indian terrorist episode: “ABC Studios and the executive producers of Quantico would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, The Blood of Romeo. The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it. She has no involvement in the casting of the show or the storylines depicted in the series. Quantico is a work of fiction. The show has featured antagonists of many different ethnicities and backgrounds, but in this case, we inadvertently and regrettably stepped into a complex political issue. It was certainly not our intention to offend anyone.”

However, PeeCee is the only Indian origin actress who debuts in American show and now the show running in its third season. She also awardee with People's Choice Award for two consecutive years. As well as, she also made her debut with Baywatch last year and will be seen in two films- A Kid Like Jake and Isn't It Romantic?
