Priyanka Chopra Is Back In India, Gets Emotional About Her Parents

We all know, Priyanka Chopra is very close to her parents, especially her dad Ashok Chopra who is sadly no more with us.

Well, Miss Chopra is back in India after finishing up her work commitments in Hollywood. PeeCee recently attended an interactive session on ‘Challenging the Status Quo & Forging New Paths’ and spoke at a length about her dreams, films, and family.

Firstly talking about her work, the actress has kick-started the shooting for her comeback Bollywood film, The Sky is Pink with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim today which is based on Ayesha Chaudhary’s life. Priyanka will be playing the role of her mother in the film that she is jointly producing with Siddharth Roy Kapur.

The Quantico star took to Twitter to pen down an emotional note for her father Ashok Chopra. She thanked her mother for saving all their precious memories. She tweeted, “Emotional night today at my moms house. Full of memories.. reminders of every victory and heartbreak..She’s kept everything. It’s like a museum of our family’s life. Love you MA. Thank you for preserving us. @madhuchopra.”

The diva also posted a throwback photo of her father on her Instagram story and captioned it, “My Daddy..My inspiration. I miss you tonight dad.”

On the professional front, Priyanka who was all set to make her comeback in Bollywood opposite Salman Khan in Bharat walked out of the film at the last moment. There were reports about Priyanka quitting the project due to her engagement with Nick Jonas. We also came to know that the actress has signed a big Hollywood project with Chris Prat, however, it has been indefinitely delayed.

Priyanka has started shooting for The Sky is Pink and had shared her excitement by posting, “So excited about today..Some stories just need to be told. In the spirit of Aisha Chaudhary&her incredible parents Aditi&Niren we bring you our super special project #TheSkyIsPink. Going on floors today!”
