Prabhas’ high-budget film, Saaho’s Hindi version has given a decent performance at the box office. Though, since Monday the action thriller has been on a downward spiral and the film on Wednesday faced yet another decline in its business as it collected Rs 6.90 crore. From Tuesday, the drop is a noteworthy 25 per cent when it earned Rs 9.10 crore. After a six-day run in cinemas, its total collection stands at Rs 109.28 crore.
Taran Adarsh, a Trade analyst used Twitter to sum up Saaho’s business. On the micro-blogging platform, Adarsh wrote the earning of the film daywise and at the end, he wrote - Total: ₹ 109.28 cr.
According to the current trend, there are high chances that the film will drop further on Thursday and Friday. Though, on Saturday and Sunday it stands a good chance to score big numbers. The film will bring in substantial numbers in the second week if trade experts are to be believed. Talking about Saaho crossing Rs 200 crore-mark, there is little chances that it will cross.
The film Saaho also stars Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead and it is her debut in the Telugu film industry. The film is written and directed by Sujeeth and it also features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Chunky Panday, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jackie Shroff, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi and Murali Sharma in lead roles.
Saaho , upon its release on August 30, received scathing reviews from film critics across the country. However, the negative critical reception appears to have marginally affected its performance at the box office. Saaho is a joint production venture between T-Series and UV Creations and it is riding on an astounding budget of Rs 350 crore. The budget makes it one of the costliest films ever to come out of any Indian film industry.
