Paying honour to Neeraj Chopra, AFI decides to name August 7th as ‘Javelin Throw Day’

The Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra bagged out a gold medal for India from the Tokyo Olympics. The whole country was celebrating this remarkable victory with this The Athletics Association of India has now come up with a decision to name August 7 as 'Javelin Throw Day' for paying honor to the gold medalist Neeraj Chopra who made the country feel proud of him for bagging back gold medal from Tokyo Olympics.  The celebration of the day will be marked behind the gold medal winner Neeraj Chopra.

The tweet from the DD sports channel on the Twitter account confirmed the news about naming the day as the Javelin Throw day.

Talking about the day, 7 August was chosen by The Athletics Association of India because the Indian Athlete Neeraj Chopra won a gold medal in the Olympic Games. The athlete bagged out a gold medal in the Javelin throw. Neeraj Chopra even opened up about setting his target before going to the Tokyo Olympic Games by mentioning that he made a target of 90 meters away. Neeraj Chopra was leading the scoreboard when he made his two throws in the beginning. Neeraj Chopra claimed that he wasn't able to understand anything he just threw the throw which ended up getting a gold medal back to the country.
