Pakistan cricket coach Javed Miandad has slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for giving opportunities again and again to non-performing players. The ex-cricketer said that Pakistan doesn't have any single batsman who can gain a spot in teams like India, Australia, South Africa and England.
Apart from Babar Azam, Pakistan's batsmen have not performed well in the recent few years and it directly affects the overall game performance in important matches. He pointed fingers on PCB for not seriously focusing on the Pakistan team and also asked the board to tell players that they should not take cricket for granted.
The coach further added that the players should focus on their performance and their fitness and only these important things will help them grow. Slamming all players, he said in the interview, ''I need to ask all the players who can fit well in great performing teams like India, Australia, England.'' Coach Javed Miandad further said Pakistan is the only such country that picks players based on their past experiences.
Discussing Pakistan's performance in previous matches, they are right now at the fifth spot in the ICC World Test Championship. Following a big defeat of 2-0 in Australia, Pakistan outperformed Sri Lanka and Bangladesh at their home ground.
