OnePlus 7 Pro to come with 5G support, Snapdragon 855 processor; expected launch in May

OnePlus proposes to roll out not single but two flagship handsets in the coming months.

In an interview, OnePlus chief executive officer Pete Lau threw some light on two unique handsets. OnePlus 7 Pro is said to an ultra high-end smartphone boasting of an “advanced” display along with 5G support.

The super special handset will be named the OnePlus 7 Pro, and it will get rolled out together with the OnePlus 7.

“The first time I saw it myself, I was stunned”, Lau stated regarding the OnePlus 7 Pro.

By last week, Lau himself mocked that the tech giant’s next-gen flagship will release a novel era, which is both speedy and smooth.

Recently, tipster Ishan Aggarwal shared a tweet with a picture, which appears to be a physical picture of the new handset.

"I'm pretty sure you all will soon see OP7 leaks flooding on your timelines since I can confirm that the launch is in May. It seems like the name of the more expensive smartphone is indeed gonna be OnePlus 7 Pro and tagline will be 'Go Beyond Speed'. Although, it may change."

The novel handset will have 5G backup in addition to a Snapdragon 855 processor.

As far as the back cameras are related, OnePlus 7 is likely to obtain a triple camera system with a 48-MP main shooter having a Sony IMX586 sensing element. Aside from the 48-MP sensing element, the back camera will also boast of a wide-angle camera and a depth sensor/TOF sensor.

In contrast, the OnePlus 7 Pro will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6.67” Super Optic AMOLED exhibit, 8 gigabyte random access memory and 256 gigabyte of integral storage space, Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box and a triple back camera system, which will comprise 48 megapixel primary sensing elements. The Pro variation is also likely to feature curved display.

The normal OnePlus 7 model is expected to feature a price label above the price of OnePlus 6T, and the OnePlus 7 Pro will expected to cost even more.

The buffs will have to await OnePlus to reveal additional aspects regarding its next-gen flagship. There are expectations that the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be rolled out in May.
