No Eid release of Race 3 for Salman Khan fans in Pakistan

Salman Khan fans in Pakistan won't get their Eidi this year. Every year Superstar Salman Khan gives his fans Eid gift with his movie. This year as well he is all set with Race 3 flick which will hit the screens for this Eid. Salman is eagerly waiting for the release of his movie while a news broke out suddenly breaking the hearts of his fans in Pakistan. Instead of Eid release, Salman's Race 3 will release in Pakistan and bit later. Yes! You read it right. This is due to the ban that Pakistan government has imposed on the Indian movies. The Pakistan government has issued a ban on Indian films release in the time of festivals.

According to a notification issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the exhibition and screening of Indian and foreign films will be banned for two days before the Eid to until two weeks after the holidays. So it is clear that Race 3 will hit the Pakistan screens only after two weeks of the festival. If you are wondering why Pakistan government decided to ban foreign films in festive times, it is for a valid reason only. The ministry, in its letter, said the move was taken in order to revive and promote the local film industry in Pakistan. All the importers/distributors of the foreign films have been directed to restrain from the screening of Indian films in cinema houses all over the country during the above mentioned time period,” the letter stated.

Race 3 to release at a later date in Pakistan

The sudden decision on the ban of foreign films over the festival time came as a shock to many Indian producers and heroes who has a huge market in foreign land.  But the decision was taken after the film producers and artists in Pakistan complained about facing stiff competition from the Indian and Hollywood movies due to which their films get restricted to a limited number of screens in the country. Now the Race 3 makers need a wait a little bit longer to release the movie in the theatres. It is in some way good to see the movie being released at the very least at a later time instead of facing complete ban like Chennai Express, Pad Man, The Dirty Picture, Jolly LLB 2.
